At the start, students need to dedicate 30 minutes daily to classwork until they memorize 2 parts (Juz). After that, class time increases to 60 minutes per day, 5 days a week. Students prepare tasks at home in chunks, totaling 60 to 120 minutes daily. Typically, it takes about 3 years for an average student to complete Quran memorization though this can vary.
1. New Memorization (New Lesson)
Students memorize a specific number of new verses each day, depending on their capacity and available time. This can range from 7 lines to a full page.
2. Newly Memorized Portion (Sabaqi)
This includes the verses memorized in the last 10 to 15 days, including new lessons. This stage is crucial for ensuring the verses are solidly memorized for life.
3. Old Memorization Portion
This covers all the verses memorized and reviewed so far. The amount reviewed with the teacher depends on how much has been memorized. Once the entire Quran is memorized, students focus on this portion to keep their memorization strong, as maintaining it is a lifelong responsibility.
